    • Greenlite is an all-in-one, single-page iPad Membership Sales, Retail Sales, Client Check-In and POS (Point of Sale) App with integrated credit card processing/swiping capabilities.

  • Why is the App called Greenlite?

    • The background color of Greenlite’s single page iPad app changes colors depending on what stage of the transaction your Staff is on (Red, Yellow, Green). This intuitive, subconscious, color changing concept guides your Staff through every single Membership Sale, Client Check-In and Retail transaction. This streamlined and repetitive approach towards every transaction gives you confidence that your revenue is being collected & logged, clients are being checked-in, and all of your clients have signed your policies/waivers.

    • Greenlite’s background will automatically change to the appropriate color depending on what stage each transaction is on. Your staff will know if a transaction has yet to start (Red Background), if a transaction is in the middle of processing (Yellow Background) and finally if the transaction was successfully completed (Green Background with a rewarding Green Fireworks display).     • The “Lite” in “Greenlite” refers to its ease of use compared to other current membership software tools on the market. Greenlite is a lightweight, smart and robust iPad app, backed by first hand professional knowledge of our membership based industry. It is not bogged down with “features” you’ll never use, which ultimately waste your time to initiate, track, manage and implement. Credit Card Features

  • How do I charge a Clients credit card?

    • Greenlite makes charging a Client’s credit card fast & easy. Ensure the credit card swiper we send you is plugged in to your ipad lightning port. Swipe a Clients credit card at any time the cart has a class package or retail item in it. You may also hand enter a credit card number if the card isn’t present. For the included Client Webstore, your Client simply goes to your Webstore, chooses their desired class package, then enters in their credit card information to purchase the class package. All payments will be securely run, encrypted, authorized and deposited into your bank.

  • How do I get a credit card reader that plugs in to my iPad?

    • When you have signed-up for Greenlite you will be prompted to start a Merchant Service account with HMS (Host Merchant Services). Fill out the application for approval to start accepting credit cards. Once approved, Greenlite/HMS will send you a card swiper.

  • What kind of credit card swiper works with Greenlite?

    • Greenlite has partnered with Magtek to provide our subscribers with the most secure, fast, and reliable encrypted credit card reader in the world, the iDynamo. The iDynamo must be obtained through Greenlite because it is specially keyed/encrypted for your Greenlite App. Transactions do not use a chip, therefore speeding up your transactions tenfold. Your encrypted transactions are secure and safe as any method of credit card payment you could accept. Simply plug and play.

  • Can I chose a different credit card company or card swiper?

    • No. For ease of use and setup we have exclusively partnered with HMS for your Merchant Services and Secure Gateway along with Magtek credit card processing devices. We have thoroughly researched all options to bring you a first class Merchant Services experience.

  • How do your credit card rates compare to other fitness facility software?

    • Greenlite's transparent and simple Discount Rates Summary can be found here. Greenlite's lowest-in-industry monthly subscription rates, teamed with industry standard credit card rates, give you the best value on the market. These rates cover your in-person Client transactions using your Greenlite app and Client purchases made from your free custom Webstore.

  • Will Greenlite allow me to charge for Membership Packages, Retail items and Client Webstore purchases without separate transactions or credit card systems?

    • Greenlite is designed to be an all-in-one powerhouse. Unlike most software in our industry, Greenlite allows you to simultaneously swipe credit cards for Class Packages/Private Lessons/Workshops at the same time as a Retail purchase. You can buy a class package, a bottle of water, and a yoga mat all in one swipe. Greenlite allows you to differentiate what items are taxable, in the Back-of-House setup, so the cart will reflect those taxes upon checkout. (Some states don't tax yoga, fitness, water bottles, etc).

  • Can Greenlite store my Clients credit card for future purchases?

    • No. The simplicity of Greenlite takes away any further training or concept that can complicate a transaction or check-in. Our experience shows us that keeping track of lost/stolen or expired credit cards is not worth the hassle. We have also found that Staff will often let a Client take a bottle of water or retail item when busy, with the intention to ring up later. But, then forget to ring up the item. Therefore resulting in loss of money.

Webstore

  • Does the Client Web Store for my business come with the monthly cost of Greenlite?

    • Yes, Greenlite does not have any additional add-ons or prices whatsoever. You will be assigned your Webstore immediately upon signing up for Greenlite. You will have the ability to sell Class Packages, Private Lessons, Workshops and Gift Certificates for Class Packages online 24/7. You decide what packages appear on your Web Store in the Back-of-House setup. New Clients are also required to sign your policies/waiver online before making any purchase. Clients can even sign-up for automatic bank draft for unlimited access memberships on your Webstore.

  • Does the Web Store utilize a different credit card merchant account?

    • You will have one credit card merchant account that encompasses every single Client purchase, whether in person or online.

  • Can both new and existing Clients purchase online using my Web Store?

    • Yes, Greenlite can sign-up new Clients. It also requires them to sign your policies/waivers before purchasing, just like in-person. Greenlite also recognizes existing Clients by email address/phone number and automatically pairs their new package purchase with their profile. There is no need to approve or match every online purchase like with most membership software. Your Client will have immediate access to use their purchase at your facility.

  • Can Clients purchase Gift Cards online?

    • Yes, Clients can purchase gift cards for Class Packages on your Webstore.

Back of the House

  • How do I customize the Greenlite App for my business?

    • All Greenlite’s POS buttons can be customized for prices, names of packages/classes/retail items, times of classes, roles and names of Staff, etc. Everything you sell, offer, and report on is customizable to your business. The BOH (Back-of-House) is accessed from any computer with your username and password. The Owner/Manager logs-in and customizes their Greenlite iPad App at any time, with ease. We have designed our BOH to be beautifully simple, yet robust in customization.

  • How long should it take to setup and start using Greenlite after I have subscribed my business?

    • Greenlite can used the minute you sign-up your business (you just won’t have your credit card swiper yet). Greenlite comes fully pre-loaded as a mock membership business with popular packages, retail items, Staff roles, prices, etc. This is helpful to new businesses as a guide to brainstorm and start out and also helpful for existing business to guide them through the editing of existing prices, packages, class times currently in place.

  • Can I transfer existing Clients and the visits they have left to Greenlite?

  • Can I prevent my Staff from stealing or letting people in for free?

    • While Greenlite can't necessarily stop theft of a Staff member, we have enabled a Manager PIN System for sensitive, suspect transactions. This requires Staff to ask the Owner/Manager to input a PIN number that only the Owner/Manager knows for all “Comp” transactions. This means a "Comp" can not occur without the permission, by way of a PIN, of the Owner/Manager. Furthermore,

  • Is it possible to check-in a client who’s membership has expired or credits run out?

    • Greenlite does not allow a successful check-in of a Client who does not have credits, they will be denied entry without payment. A prompt will appear on Greenlite letting your Staff know to deny entry. Some competitor software systems allow Clients to be checked-in without payment or credit and then assigns that Client a negative credit (-1). Greenlite never puts any Client in a negative credit situation. Clients must be fully paid to check-in.

  • Can I assign Teachers and Staff different Admin Roles with different login credentials?

    • Greenlite is designed to be simple. Assigning usernames, passwords, roles/permissions becomes messy and cumbersome and is hardly ever maintained properly by any facility, unless you have full-time Tech Staff. The Owner/Manager are in control of the one and only username it takes to login to the app and BOH (Back of House). You can change the password as often as you’d like.

  • Can I be logged in to multiple iPads at the same time?

    • Greenlite can be open on as many iPad devices as you want at the same time. All sales are recorded alongside each other and at the same time.

  • I own multiple locations, can I subscribe to just one Greenlite App subscription?

    • Each individual location should have its own Greenlite account. When you start combining locations under one Greenlite account, you start complicating a very simple system. You will run into issues with class times, payroll, different offerings, etc. If you allow Clients to access different facilities for their membership dues, you can certainly give permission for that facility to check-in a Client under the originating Client home location.

Waivers (Electronic, Downloadable, Paper Waiv

  • Does Greenlite allow my Clients to sign liability and policy waivers?

    • Yes, Setting up an agreements between new Clients and your business are crucial for all the obvious reasons. Greenlite embeds the signing of liability and policy waivers as the very first step to signing up a Client. We have made it impossible to sign up a new Client without signing an electronic waiver, for both in-studio and Webstore first time class purchases. The waiver is included in the sign-up process as part of the transaction and takes only seconds to capture the Clients full contact information and signature. You will not need to train your Staff on where to find the waiver, who should sign the waiver, and when should Clients should sign it. The waiver automatically appears upon the first step of adding a new member to your Greenlite App.

  • How do I access my signed Client waivers?

    • In Back-Of-The-House "Reports", under "Waivers", you can see, download and print Client waivers individually or in batches from any given date range. You can also search for a Client’s profile and their waiver is embedded in their profile page.

  • Is there any reason why a waiver would not have been signed in Greenlite?

    • If you merged a database of Clients from another software upon signing up for Greenlite, those Clients will not have signed waivers in Greenlite. See Merge Existing Clients for more info.

Receipts and Returns/Refunds

  • Can Greenlite send my Clients receipts of purchase?

    • Yes. Greenlite will email your Client a receipt for their class package, private lesson, or workshop purchase. This goes for in-person on the Greenlite app or your Webstore. However, Greenlite was specifically designed to allow purchases of retail items and Gift Certificates without having to setup a Client profile for a simple purchase. This speeds up retail purchases tenfold but does not capture the purchasers contact information in order to send these simple purchases a receipt. You can certainly associate every single retail purchase with a Client but you’d have to setup that person in Greenlite to do so. Customers who purchase retail items only, without their name involved, are treated like any convenience store purchase and will not receive an email receipt. If a customer requires a receipt of a retail item alone, you can can email or hand-write a receipt for them.

  • How do I Void a transaction or return money to a Client?

    • Staff and Clients are both culprits of transaction mistakes. Any day-of transaction can easily be voided with a single push of the "Void" button in “Todays Transactions” at the bottom of the Greenlite App. If the transaction was paid with a credit card, the money is never taken from the customer because the end-of-day batch has not settled yet. Class Packages and/or Retail items that were purchased by mistake are voided immediately. If the Client was checked-in to a class during the mistake purchase, they will be removed from that class in Greenlite. The mistake will not effect attendance numbers. Often the correct transaction occurs immediately after the fix. For transactions that happened in the past days or weeks the Owner/Manger has to perform refunds these in the Back-of-House. The manager finds the date the transaction occurs, pushes the “Refund” button and the money goes back on the Client's credit card. If it is a cash or check transaction, simply provide cash or check for the return/refund. If you are doing a refund on a Cash or Check purchase, you will have to cancel the specific service initially purchased so they do not have access.

Group / Family Memberships

  • Can Greenlite do Group and Family Memberships?

    • Greenlite allows your facility to offer Group, Family, Trade and Staff Comped Memberships. While the concept is not unique to the membership market, current software on the market is not equipped to handle these groups efficiently, Greenlite is! This is all done in the Back-of-the-House by the Owner/Manager, therefore not allowing front desk Staff access to make these decisions. The Owner/Manager can set prices on a case by case basis depending on the Group/Family size, number of visits allowed, expiration dates and payment arrangement.

  • Can I "Comp" Memberships, Retail, Groups, Staff Memberships if I want?

    • “Comp’s” refer to anytime you decide to waive payment. Anything can be "Comped" in Greenlite. If your Staff is trying to "Comp" a Membership Package, Retail Item or anything in Greenlite it will require the Owner/Manager Pin # for approval. You can create a "Comped" group for your Staff and other businesses you maybe trade or barter with so they may enter your facility without payment, based on your arrangement. To create a “Comped” group , the Owner/Manager simply sets up a group in the Back-of-the-House and "Comp" the payment status of that group. Editing who belongs to what group is very easy and can be done in seconds.

  • Can my Staff set-up a Group or Family Membership?

    • Greenlite only allows the Owner/Manager to set-up a Group/Family Membership. The group dynamic brings a complex element to memberships. Greenlite simplifies group creation for the Owner/Manager, but high level decisions about the group need to be made. For example, each group could have a different cost depending on number of group/family members, payment structures, facility access limitations, etc.

Workshops & Private Lessons

  • Can I set-up Workshops in Greenlite?

    • Creating Workshops in Greenlite are easy. Workshops are unique purchases because they can either be one time events or a series of events. In the Back-of-the-House the Owner/Manager set a price and determine the dates for the Workshop. The Greenlite app and Webstore will now contain the option for Workshop to be purchased. Every Client who pays/registers gets put in to a roster. This allows you to check-in every Client on your Workshop roster on the day(s) the Workshop occurs.

  • Can I set-up Private Lesson Packages?

    • Private Lessons are similar to setting up class packages but with a few more details to streamline the check-in process for the Client and the Teacher performing the Private Lesson. The Owner/Manager set-up Private Lesson packages (1,3,5,10, etc. visits) in the Back-of-the-House by determining a price and number of visits allowed for a Client to check-in to a private lesson. What is the Private Lesson Protocol?

  • What is the Check-In process for Private Lessons?

    • When the Client comes to check-in for their Private Lesson, Staff chooses “Private Lesson” in the dropdown menu instead of a specific class time. This allows you to chose the Client and choose the Teacher who is performing the Private Lesson. This insures the Client will use one Private Lesson Check-in credit and that the Staff performing the Private Lesson will receive credit on your payroll report to get paid correctly. *Greenlite does not keep a Private Lesson schedule. Use whatever calendar or planner you have in place to manage your Staff, Teachers and Clients schedule.(ex. google calendar, paper calendar, etc). Greenlite enables the swift selling of the Private Lesson and then the Check-In of that Client, along with linking it to Payroll.

Gift Certificates / Cards

  • Can I sell Gift Certificates or Gift Cards?

    • Greenlite has made selling Gift Certificates / Cards easier than ever. From Back-Of-The-House, the Manager can choose any number sequence that is printed on gift certificates or cards that you make or purchase. These card numbers are now loaded in your system and available for purchase on your Greenlite app immediately.

  • Can a Client buy a Gift Certificate in a specified dollar amount?

    • One of the ways Greenlite streamlined Gift Certificates/Card purchases is to pair the Gift Certificate up with a Class Package only. The Gift Certificate your Client is buying is for a specified Class Package only, not a dollar amount. (For example: Your Client bought a 10 Class Package as a Gift Certificate to give to her friend. Not, Your Client bought a $100 Gift Certificate for her friend to spend anyway she wants at your business.) This makes Gift Certificate sales and redemptions easy because the Class Package and Gift Certificate are directly linked together. This process also eliminates the need to give change back or have floating credits for Clients. Selling and Redeeming Gift Certificates/Cards takes seconds. Your Staff will not be scared or confused with this process.

Reports

  • What kind of reports can I run for my gym/studio?

    • Reports are an extremely useful tool to monitor the health of your business, plan future business moves, budget and make a profit. Greenlite has you covered on: Client Sales reports, Employee/Contractor payroll reports, tracking attendance of Clients and Staff, purchases, revenue, taxes, marketing, waivers etc. All reports are run in the Back-of-the-House by the Owner/Manager.

  • Can Greenlite help me reconcile and balance my cash drawer at the end of the day?

    • Yes, Simply push "End of Day Report" on the Greenlite App to summarize the days transactions. “End of Day Report” will give an overview of what was bought by category and method of payment. The report can be emailed to the Manager or printed. Front Desk Staff will gather the cash taken in for the day and reconcile with the report.

  • My State doesn't require me to tax Services, Classes, or Water. Can I separate what is taxed?

    • Greenlite allows you the flexibility to add a percentage tax to whatever you want. In the Back-of-House the Manager chooses to tax individual retail items or class/membership packages as a whole. This make your government taxes easy to calculate and pay. This also removes the burden from your Staff to determine taxes on Client purchases.

    Payroll

  • Can I use Greenlite as my time-clock and payroll processing?

    • Yes. The Greenlite App has a "Staff Check-In/Out” button at the bottom on the “Staff” row. This allows Staff/Teachers to log their hours/classes which calculates them in “Payroll Reports” the Manager uses to process payroll. Staff/Teachers "Check-In" at the start of their shift/class and "Check-Out" when they are done.

  • Can Greenlite process my payroll?

    • Greenlite is not a payroll processing company but Greenlite does allow the Manager to run a payroll report for any Staff or Teacher who has checked-in/out for any time period you want. If a Staff member forgot to check-in/out one day, the owner/manager can easily adjust/add/subtract hours from this report. You can use payroll reports to write checks to your employees or subcontractors. If you utilize a payroll processing service you can certainly send them your payroll report for processing.

    Staff Training

  • How long does it take to train Staff on Greenlite?

    • Your Staff will be confidently trained on Greenlite in minutes, not days. Greenlite was designed to be simple, repetitive, fun and rewarding. You'll probably ask yourself why a simple system like Greenlite has never existed before? Greenlite has even been self-taught, with no instructions whatsoever. You really can't do anything wrong in Greenlite. Every transaction from a Client Check-In to Class Package or Retail Sales all follow the same guided steps that coincide with the colors of a traffic light. The goal is to get from Red to Yellow to Green every transaction. Inputting errors or wrong buttons pushed can be corrected in seconds. Greenlite also increases your sales and communication with your Clients. Integrated features like sales banners and messages que your Staff what to upsell or messages to convey to your Clients.

  • What is the average time to check-in a Client with and without an existing membership?

    • Average time to check-in a Client with an existing package is 3 seconds. Time to check-in a Client with an existing package plus a retail item is 10 seconds, including the credit card swipe. Time to check-in a new Client not in the system, including the waiver, along with a retail item is about 30 seconds (determined by the speed in which a Client can input their waiver contact info). Needless to say, Greenlite is fast.

Features (Sales Banner on Buttons, Greyed Out Packages, No Class Admittance Without Payment, Auto Fill Client Names, Classes Left)

  • Can Greenlite increase my sales?

    • Yes! Streamlined tools are in place to help drive your revenue in the most simplistic way. To name a few: A little red banner in the top left hand corner of a Retail or Class Package button that says "Sale" appears when the Owner/Manager assigns a sale to that product. Sales Banners show the Original Cost vs Sale Price within the button. Staff are easily able to suggest the value in that “Sale” to your Clients. Also, after every transaction a display of Green Fireworks display to let Staff know the transaction is complete. In this display is a message the Manager wants Staff to relay to Clients, Ex. “Essential Oils 1/2 price”, or “Last Day of Spring Sale”. Staff who aren’t naturally marketing and sales driven are very common in our industry. Often, Teachers are your Check-in Staff and often those who are excellent at Teaching have no interest or stake in the revenue of your business. We realize up-selling or suggesting may not be everyone's strong point. Greenlite is here help

  • How do I indicate what is on "Sale" on the Greenlite app?

    • Creating a sale is easy and takes seconds in the Back-of-the-House. Find the retail item or package description you want to be on sale, determine the length and price of the sale. The sales banner will automatically be removed after the last day of the sale.

  • Is there any way Clients can check-in to my facility if they are expired, or owe money?

    • No, if Clients are expired or owe money they will be denied entry. Greenlite does not allow negative credits or check-in people before being fully paid. This eliminates the need to chase down Client payments after the fact.

  • What is the default for the "Check-In Times" drop down box on the Greenlite App?

    • The class that is up next on your schedule is automatically loaded to check-in Clients. This prevents you from having to choose the most current class over and over. The default class time check-in will change once the previous class time has started. If there is no class up next on the schedule then "Open Timestamp" becomes the default choice.

  • Can you check-in latecomers to classes that have already started?

    • Yes. You can check-in any Client to any class that has happened throughout the day by using the "Check-In Times" drop down box. Greenlite does not allow a Client Check-in for previous days. This eliminates any mistakes of accidentally checking-in Clients to different days/months/years.

  • Can Greenlite check-in general facility access as opposed to only specific classes?

    • Yes, you would choose "Open Timestamp" in the "Check-In Times" drop down box. This allows you to track general check-ins and enforce expired memberships.

  • I own my studio and teach every class. Do I have to set up class times in order to check-in Clients?

    • No, Greenlite comes ready to go out of the box. If you do not care about logging attendance to specific classes, then you will check-in your Clients with "Open Timestamp" in the "Check-In Times" drop down box. This will deduct one visit from a Clients existing package and will allow you to track the exact time any Client entered your facility. This is also how you would check-in general facility access if you owned/operated a traditional gym with free use of equipment throughout the day.

  • Can you travel with Greenlite?

    • Yes, Greenlite is incredibly flexible because it is iPad operated. As long as you have an internet connection, you have Greenlite to service all your Clients on the road, in the park, at a festival, etc.

  • My Clients always run late to class, will Greenlite be good for us?

    • Yes, Greenlite's main purpose is to save time and frustration for you, your Staff, and your Clients. We know that Clients tend to run late or arrive close to class start time. New Clients no longer hold up your line. Checking-in Clients with existing packages take an average of 3-5 seconds. Retail purchases take an average of 5-8 seconds and can be done alone or alongside a check-in or class package purchase.

  • Are membership scan cards available or recommended to use with Greenlite?

    • No. Our experience shows that scan cards become a burden and Greenlite eliminates as many burdens as possible. Lost or forgotten cards will never be an issue and it saves the expense of buying them for your Client base. If you need to verify someone's identity, we recommend asking for their ID to cross reference their profile.

  • If a Client leaves class early or changes their mind after Greenlite check-in, can I credit them back the class?

    • Yes. With the push of a button on your Greenlite app, you can remove any Client from class. It will return the credit of the class to their profile for future use.

  • I lost my credit card reader, can I still run credit cards? Do I need a credit card reader?

    • Yes, you can manually input credit cards using Greenlite by choosing "CC Manual Entry" in the shopping cart. If you need to purchase a new credit card reader, please email Sales@GreenliteCheckIn.com.

  • How much are additional credit card readers?

    • An additional or replacement credit card reader is $200.

  • What is the "Staff" row at the bottom of the Greenlite app?

    • "Staff Row" contains administrative buttons that allow your Staff to edit "Client Profiles", access "Class Profiles" to see current day class attendance, "Staff Check-In / Out" for payroll purposes, run "End of Day Reports" to balance today's transactions, "Note to Manager" so your Staff can easily communicate with management, and "Today's Transactions" to view and void current day transactions (with Manager Pin Approval).

  • Can I accept checks using Greenlite?

    • Yes, you can choose whether or not to accept checks. You would log them as Cash in Greenlite.

  • What is Fast Retail?

    • One of Greenlite's features is the "Fast Retail Row". Owner/Managers choose which popular items you would like to appear in this row. This saves time by featuring your most popular retail items for your Staff to easily find and choose. The "Fast Retail Row" comes pre-loaded with the industry's most highly purchased items such as water, joiners fees, etc. Fast Retail Row also contains a button called "All Retail" which pulls up a complete list of your retail items to add to the Client's shopping cart.

  • What does the button "Open Retail" do?

    • Open Retail is to ring up any amount of money taken in for when miscellaneous transactions occur.

Greenlite Fireworks (Content, When & Why it Appears, Why We Chose Fireworks)

  • What are "Greenlite Fireworks" I keep reading about and why are they in the app?

    • "Greenlite Fireworks" are a celebration with purpose, they are a fun indication/reassurance the current transaction is complete. Greenlite was built on the theory of positive reinforcement. Literally every transaction that is completed correctly gets this celebration of Greenlite Fireworks. We want you and your front desk Staff to be confident EVERY transaction is being performed correctly. We want to celebrate every single transaction that occurs. We want you and your Staff to feel assured they did the transaction correctly. But Greenlite Fireworks aren't just a positive reinforcement tool. When the fireworks burst on to the screen, they contain a summary of the transaction that just occurred, the time of check-in, how many Clients are in class, the current time and sales/announcement prompt. The sales/announcement prompt keeps your Staff informed of current announcements and sales they are to relay to your Clients. The sales/announcement prompt encourages your Staff to push a product or announce to your Clients before they leave the check-in area. (Example "Flash Sale Today on 5 Class Packages, $50" or "Yoga Challenge Starts Tomorrow" ). The Owner/Manager decides what the sales/announcement prompt within the Greenlite Fireworks will say from the Back-of-the-House. An excellent upselling.marketing and communication tool.

  • Can I get Greenlite Fireworks if a transaction has NOT been completed?

    • It is impossible for Greenlite Fireworks to occur if the transaction is incomplete or done incorrectly. Your Staff will only proceed to Greenlite Fireworks upon success of a transaction or check-in. If your Staff does not get fireworks, they are not done. The goal is Greenlite Fireworks for every transaction and check-in.

  • How long does the prompt of Greenlite Fireworks appear on the screen for before I can proceed to the next person/transaction in line?

    • The Greenlite Fireworks prompt that indicates a successful transactions appear on the ipad screen for about 10-15 seconds. If you are in a hurry and want to move right along to the next transaction without waiting for the Greenlite Fireworks to disappear, simply tap the screen and Greenlite resets to Red in preparation for the next transaction.

  • What kind of bases, enclosures, and stands do you recommend?

  • Can I use any kind credit card reader?

    • No, our credit card readers are specifically keyed for Greenlite.

  • Can I use an Android device?

    • No, we have purposely made Greenlite an iPad App due to its ease of use, security and feel.

  • What kind of iPad do I need?

    • Any iPad with a lightning port will work. We recommend the latest available version and to keep up to date on iOS software updates. We recommend at least one of your iPads be capable of using cellular data in case of power loss or travel. We also recommend turning off Autocorrect in iOS Settings to avoid auto-correction of unique Client names.

  • Can I use also use a computer instead of an ipad to check people in, sell, etc.

    • Greenlite is an Ipad App only. Our goal was to create an outstanding POS/Check-In App only, not an app that acted as a limited supplement to a computer program. A computer can not act as your POS (Point of Sale) for your or your Staff to actually use instead of the Greenlite App. However, your Greenlite Ipad App is customized on a computer by logging-in to your BOH (Back-of-the-House).

  • Can I use Greenlite on my iPhone?

    • No, Greenlite must be used on an iPad only.

  • So all I need is an iPad for Greenlite?

    • Yes. However, we recommend a full screen desktop to easily use the Back-Of-The-House features. The desktop does not have to be present at the front desk for check-in, it is only for management use to change prices/packages, etc.

  • I've signed up for Greenlite, how do I get Greenlite on my Ipad and how do I access the Back-of-House features?

    • Greenlite is downloaded only from the Apple App Store. The app is a free download. You need to sign-up for Greenlite through the website first to be able to login to the app. Once sign-up for Greenlite to start your subscription you will have immediate access to the Back-of-House. You will be able to start customizing your classes, class times, prices, retail, etc. This is where you will create the username and password to access your facility's Greenlite App.

Business Success Tips (Cancellation Waivers, Change Forms, Cash Drawer)

  • Does Greenlite have any recommendations or tips to use alongside the software?

    • We do! Every software has its own way of conducting transactions or check-ins and there is always supplemental procedures we recommend putting in place alongside Greenlite. For instance, we recommend purchasing a lockable cash drawer to keep all your cash and change in. We recommend making paper cancellation forms, change forms, inquiry forms for Clients to fill-out away from the desk to continue the flow of traffic through your check-in or retail transactions (then you can enter in the updates to memberships when there is downtime). We recommend a printer that is linked to your ipad that can print your end-of-day reports and include with the cash at the end of the day. We also like the idea of at least one ipad to have cellular capabilities for when the power goes out. We will always continue to send out little tips we discover along the way to make your facility the easiest, fastest and most efficient it can be.

  • Greenlite seems to missing some features that other software can offer me?

    • Greenlite Check-in App has indeed broken down membership software to the basics. We have only included features we deemed necessary to be an all-in-one software for your membership based business . Membership should not be rocket science. The basics of owning a gym, studio, spa or any membership facility is to be able to track whether or not a Client has paid, therefore granting them access to your facility. If the Client owes money, they pay, you let them in..it's that simple. Greenlite allows your Clients to buy prepaid visits in advanced, in the form of packages with expiration dates or number of visits allowed. When the package expires or is used up, Greenlite prompts a decline of entry, therefore queuing your Staff to ask for a membership renewal. Greenlite also values the importance of the walk-in Client, therefore welcomes them with about the same check-in time as a Client who is in the system and comes daily. Greenlite is all about simplicity. In our experience, the more features a software has the harder it is to figure out and train. Excess features usually means more malfunctions and mediocre quality within those features.

  • Can my Clients reserve classes ahead of time?

    • Greenlite is purposely not a Client calendar that holds appointments and reservations. Facilities who use Greenlite value the first-come-first-serve philosophy and don't welcome the reservation dilemmas. First-come-first-serve is the most solid, straight-forward policy you could gift your business and Clients. It has less headaches, rules, confrontation, and set-up. When facilities are on a first-come-first-serve policy, they create a culture of prompt, on-time Clients. Clients who are allowed reservations are typically entitled, will argue traffic,website, personal issues to get their missed visit refunded. Charging Clients who don't show up for classes after it has been reserved and paid for doesn't feel good and we can assure you Clients don't appreciate it either. Greenlite wants your facility to be fair, efficient, and drama-free. It's much easier to tell a Client a class is full and to suggest showing up earlier next time as opposed to creating a waitlist type situation in your lobby of Clients hoping someone doesn't show up.

Plug Ins, Posting Online Schedules, Posting Teachers

  • Can Greenlite post my studio's class schedule online?

    • Greenlite does not post your schedule for the public to see. Your schedule is secure in the Greenlite app only. How you wish you convey your schedule to the public is up to you. We suggest posting it to your website and having in-studio handouts.

  • Can Greenlite broadcast to the public who is teaching what classes?

    • Greenlite does not post your Teachers or their schedules. If you wish to post what Teacher is teaching what class/time on your online and print schedule you can certainly do so without Greenlite. From experience, we do not find it beneficial to post which Teacher is teaching what time/class. This takes the power away from your business and puts it in the ego of the Teachers. When a popular Teacher goes out of town or quits, your Clients will follow, if your schedule is Teacher driven. You want Clients visiting the environment you set-up for them, not for a specific Teacher.

Retail

  • Does greenlite track my retail inventory?

    • Greenlite reporting allows you to look at date ranges and list everything that is sold within those date ranges, including retail. There is no ticking down of preloaded retail inventory to then let you know you are running low or out. Tracking retail inventory can easily be someone's full time job if done correctly and there is no use doing it unless its done correctly. Greenlite has omitted inventory tracking of specific retail items purposely. If you'd like to track your inventory, we recommend keeping a log of what you started with and check your counts occasional to make sure your sales match what you should have in stock.

  • Can I buy a bar scanner and add scan retail items?

    • No, you ring up retail items by simply pushing the button on the Greenlite app that describes that retail item. You set-up all retail items you sell in your Back-of-House.

Merging Clients from Existing Software

  • Will I be able to bring my current Clients to Greenlite from another software?

    • Yes, we can transfer your current Clients over to Greenlite. Once you sign-up to use Greenlite at your studio, contact us at Sales@GreenliteCheckIn.com to ensure you have the template and requirements to merge your existing Clients. We provide you with a template for you to input your Clients First, Middle, Last Name, email address, expiration date of clients memberships, and how many classes they have left in their package. You can easily gather this information from any software program you are leaving from. Then schedule a time to perform this import so there is no down-time at your facility.   • Can I import my Clients credit card numbers from my existing software to Greenlite?

    • The credit card business is an extremely secure business for good reason. Your old software will most likely not give you your Clients credit card information because they aren't allowed to keep it in it's entirety. You will enter your auto draft Clients credit card by swiping or hand inputting on dates you and your customer deem fit to make it a seamless transition. It sounds like a hassle but it's easy and you'll have to do it this way no matter who your next software company is.

  • How do I set-up an import on the day I want to switch to Greenlite?

    • Reach out to Sales@GreenliteCheckIn.com to coordinate and plan your import date and approach. We have a lot of good information that will help you in this transition. One example of a good tip from us would be to keep your old software for a month or so, just in case you need to check something out, download waivers or run reports you may need in the future. Never cut one software off one day and start with Greenlite the next day. Start with Greenlite, make sure the transition was smooth and don't be cutoff to all the data you've gathered with your last software until you've had the chance to capture it all.

Cancellation and Contracts Procedures

  • Do I have to sign a yearly contract for Greenlite or Credit Card Merchant Services?

    • Greenlite does not require you or your facility to sign a lengthy contract, you may cancel at anytime for any reason. Your credit card merchant account will not be on a contract either, however if you cancel you may be asked to return your credit card reader to avoid any costs.

  • How do I cancel my Greenlite Account?

    • You must notify CustomerService@GreenliteCheckIn.com at least 60 days in advance to cancel. You will have access to the App and Back-of-House until one month after your last billing cycle.

  • Is the Credit Card Reader mine to keep?

    • Magtek iDynamo Credit Card Readers are yours forever if you purchase them. They will not work on any other program except Greenlite. If you have cancelled your Greenlite membership and you were given a credit card reader as a promotion we will ask that you return it if you have not been a part of Greenlite for more than one year.

Why are all class packages, private lesson packages, and workshops grayed out on the RED screen on the app?

  • This is a failsafe feature Greenlite has added to ensure services cannot be added to a cart without a Client associated first.

  • Once I've started my transaction and the screen turns to YELLOW, can I go back to RED?

    • Anything in Greenlite can be corrected or fixed with a push of a button. Once you choose "Clear All" in the cart, the screen will turn back to Red resetting the transaction. Re-doing an entire transaction only takes seconds. If you accidentally added an item to the cart that is no longer needed, select the Trash Can icon next to the specific line item(s) in the cart.

  • If I stop mid-transaction on the YELLOW screen, will it reset to RED?

    • Yes. Greenlite will reset to the RED screen after two minutes of inactivity and clears out all cart data.

  • How long after the GREEN screen will the app reset to RED for the next transaction?

    • The Greenlite fireworks message gives you ample time to read and will automatically reset to RED after 8 seconds. If you are in a hurry to get to the next transaction, simply tap anywhere on the GREEN screen and it will instantly reset to RED.
